For those that are wishing to run some serious power!
The F40 gearbox has been known to strip the gears when pushing 500ftlb (ask us how we know)
we decided to develop a semi helical gearset to take some serious power. This gearset is designed to change 3,4 and 5th including synchro's as a drop in solution.
Opting for a semi helical design, these allow for a much better 'mesh' of gears, while reducing the axial loads involved compared to going for a traditional straight cut upgrade design.
all gears heat + cryogenically treated to gain the absolute most out the material specs.
Similar to stock ratios, to keep the feel of the XWD system.
To note. these gears are louder than factory setups, do not expect a super quiet gearbox like stock, however slightly quieter than straight cuts.
These gearsets will NOT fit FWD setups (5th gear synchro design is different compared to XWD including ratios. If you are looking at FWD setups.. please message as we have data for this.
